Four arrests over armed Post Office robbery

Four people have been arrested after an attempted armed robbery at Trowell Post Office.
A man entered the Stapleford Road Post Office at about 9.20am on Friday brandishing a knife, police have said.
He threatened staff with the blade but fled empty handed. No one was injured.
The three men, aged 43, 28 and 24, and a 38-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident
The 43-year-old and 28-year-old suspects have also been arrested in relation to three other incidents in Beeston.
The Carphone Warehouse was targeted by a masked man at 7pm on Monday December 10. He threatened staff with a knife and fled with a laptop and iPhone. No one was injured.
Staff were subjected to a further attack by two masked men at 9.30am on Wednesday January 2, A security guard received minor injuries in the incident, but nothing was stolen.
Two masked men attacked the window of Onyx Goldsmiths at 9.30am on New Year’s Eve. They fled empty-handed when the shutter system was activated. No one was injured.
Despite the arrests detectives are still appealing for witnesses to all four incidents, or anyone with any information, to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
