Two men, who were arrested after a police chase which ended in Ilkeston, have been charged with burglary.
Tyla Reynolds, 22, of Wood Street, Cotmanhay, and Lee Sills, 27, of Allendale Avenue, Nottingham, were arrested on Friday (September 20).
A large number of officers, assisted by the police helicopter, chased a car, which was alleged to have been stolen, into Ilkeston from Nottinghamshire.
The car came to a stop in Margaret Avenue, Larklands, at about 11am.
The driver was arrested in a nearby underpass and the passenger was arrested on Chalons Way.
Sills was charged in connection with burglaries at Hillside Road, Spondon, on September 10, in which a BMW was alleged to have been stolen, West End Drive, Ilkeston, on September 16, when two cars were believed to have been taken, and Milldale Road, Long Eaton, on September 20 during which an Audi A4 was said to have been stolen.
He was also charged with burglaries in Woodbank Drive, Wollaton, on September 19 and Wighay Road, Hucknall, on September 10 as well as aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop for police and driving while disqualified.
Reynolds was charged in connection with the burglaries on West End Drive and Milldale Road and an offence in Nottinghamshire.
