Hospice is broken into

HEARTLESS burglars have stolen from a Risley-based hospice, which provides care for terminally ill adults across the area.

Police said the break-in at Treetops Hospice in Derby Road happened at about 10.30pm last Wednesday.

The burglars broke a padlock on a main gate to the premises and smashed a window to get inside where they stole two laptops and a cash box.

Derbyshire police are appealing for anyone with information about the crime to contact them on their new three-digit non-emergency number 101.
