Jewellery stolen

Jewellery with a lot of sentimental value was among items stolen from a West Hallam home at the weekend.

At some point between 9.30am on Friday and 3.45pm on Monday, burglars forced open a window at the back of the property in St Wilfrid’s Road.

Several rings and a laptop were stolen but a police spokesman said the occupants are most concerned about a distinctive bracelet.

It is thick gold and inscribed with flowers. Police have made house-to-house enquiries but have made no arrests.
