Long Eaton man attacked on his walk home

A LONG EATON man was treated in hospital after being attacked as he was on his way home from a night out.

The 53-year-old was walking down Oakland Road, Long Eaton, at around 11pm on Monday February 14.

He heard voices behind him and turned round to see two men walking behind him.

The men approached him and asked him for a light. When he told the pair he did not have one they rushed over to him, pushed him to the ground and kicked him.

The attackers, both described as white, around 5ft 5ins and wearing dark clothing, ran off towards Tamworth Road.

The victim was taken to the Queens Medical Centre and released the same night.
