Man injured in unprovoked attack

A Stapleford man suffered a broken nose and fractured eye socket after he was hit in an unprovoked attack.

Police have only just released details of the assault which happened in the early hours of Saturday August 4.

The 22-year-old victim was walking towards the taxi rank in Clifford Street, Long Eaton when he was suddenly punched to the head and face.

He suffered a broken nose, fractured eye socket and severe bruising and swelling to his eye.

He told police he did not see his attacker and does not know why he was assaulted.
