Man charged’for using gun’
A MAN has appeared in court charged with firearms offences after allegedly entering an Ilkeston house wielding a firearm.
Police said that Sean Doughty, of Cleveland Close, Nottingham, entered the property in St John’s Road at about 2pm on Friday.
The 24-year-old is then alleged to have produced a gun and threatened the occupants at the property.
He was arrested and later charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Doughty appeared at Derby Magistrates Court on Wednesday February 1 for a first hearing.
Police have urged anyone with information about crime in Ilkeston to call them on the new three-digit number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111,.
