Man charged with raping Ilkeston 12-year-old

A MAN has been charged with raping a 12-year-old Ilkeston girl in Kimberley in October.

Ryan Cooper, 20, of Watnall Road, Hucknall, has been charged and released on bail.

The victim reported being assaulted in Maws Lane, a short distance from the junction with Lawn Mill Road, on Wednesday 26 October 2011.

Cooper will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on April 27.
