Police appeal for help in tracing missing Ilkeston man

Police are concerned for the safety of an Ilkeston man who has gone missing and are appealing for help in tracing him.

Glenday Read, 52, left home at 7.20am yesterday (Thursday Oct 22) to go to work in Belper but didn’t arrive.

He was seen in his red Renault Scenic, registration FB53 FHC, at lunchtime in Kilburn.

There was another sighting yesterday evening on the A610 between Langley Mill and Codnor.

Mr Read is white, six feet tall and of medium build.

He has short brown hair and a stud in his left ear.

He was wearing black trousers, a blue shirt and a black coat.

Mr Read’s behaviour is totally out of character and officers are appealing for him or anyone who has seen him to contact them on 101.
