Police want to speak to e-fit man

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after a purse was stolen from a woman in Ilkeston.

On Wednesday July 4 at 6pm a woman was walking along St Johns Road, at the junction with Kensington Gardens, when she was approached by two men.

One of the men asked her for a lighter. As she was searching in her bag they snatched her purse from her hand and ran off in the direction of Nottingham Road.

The man who took the purse was described as white, between 25-30 years old, 6ft tall, of a slim build with short mousey brown hair. He had a local accent and had stained broken teeth. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a light coloured hooded top.

The second man was described as white, between 25-30 years old, 5ft 6ins tall and was wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit.
