Sixty ‘cannabis’ plants found in raid

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis at a house in Cotmanhay.

Officers raided the property in Stratford Street on Thursday at 1pm after receiving information from the community.

About 60 plants were found growing in upstairs bedrooms.

They will now be tested and a decision will be made as to whether to charge the man, who was arrested at the house, in October.
