Suspected burglar tracked by police dogs

A suspected burglar has appeared in court.

James Mitchell, 23, was arrested after a burglary in Morley Drive, Shipley View, on Monday February 11.

The raid was in progress when police received the call.

Officers used a police dog to track the scent of the suspected offender back to his home address in Boweswell Road.

He was not in but was arrested the next day and appeared at Derby Magistrates Court on Wednesday February 13 charged with burglary.

He will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.
