A TEENAGER was shoved into the canal at Sandiacre while out riding his bike, police have said.
The 13-year-old had to swerve when a dog ran out in front of him on the path at Lock Lane on Sunday at 2.15pm.
A man then approached him, was verbally abusive and pushed him in the chest, causing him and his bike to fall into the water.
The man, who was walking with a white woman who was pushing a pushchair, is described as white, in his 30s and around 5ft 10ins tall.
He was of large build, bald and wore a black leather coat.
The dog was a white and brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog.
