Teenagers arrested on suspicion of Coral’s armed robbery

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery on a bookmakers in Ilkeston.

An 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested today (Friday) on suspicion of attempting to rob Coral’s in Nottingham Road at about 9.30pm on Wednesday April 17.

They remain in custody and are being questioned by officers.

Two masked men entered the shop and threatened staff with a firearm, believed to be a shotgun, which was then fired towards staff members.

No one was injured and offenders left the scene empty handed.
