Teens forced to apologise after stealing booze

Three teens have written letters of apology to the manager of Lidl in Sandiacre after they broke in to steal alcohol.

A HGV driver spotted the boys, aged 14, 16 and 17 at the store last Wednesday fleeing on their bikes with the stolen drinks at about 11pm.

They were intercepted by a dog handler on in Lock Lane and arrested.

A spokesman said the manager was happy for them to apologise by letter.

The booze was returned unopened.
