A NURSERY volunteer and school midday supervisor has retired after 35 years.
Sue Golds, first volunteered at Dallimore Primary when her daughter started at the Kirk Hallam school 35 years ago.
After ten years helping out in the nursery she became a midday supervisor at the school as well.
Mrs Golds said: “I’m going to really miss it.
“Working in the nursery I’ve seen children who I looked after when they first started here have their own children and I’ve looked after them too.
“Every year there’s someone who says you know my mum or my gran to me.”
Nursery children held a party and presented gifts to Mrs Golds on Thursday and she worked her last shift on Friday.
She added: “I’m looking forward to retirement but I’m going to be keeping active and I’ll stay in touch with everyone here.
“I’ve really enjoyed working with all the staff and the children.”
