Dancers packed out Kirk Hallam Community College’s sports hall on Sunday to raise cash for HART, the Help Amelia-Rose Trust, in memory of Amelia-Rose Sutton.

19-month-old Amelia was born with brain damage after lying on the umbilical cord in the womb. She died in April after developing pneumonia following an operation earlier in the year.

Supporters were sponsored as they took to the floor to take part in the dance exercise class.

Cash raised at the event is still being counted.

Tickets are on sale now for a memorial night on Saturday October 12 at the Festival Inn, Trowell, to raise more money for the ward at the Royal Derby Hospital where Amelia was treated.
