Full details for the sale or rental of the former Co-op department store have still not been released.
Despite a sign advertising that commercial property agent Rapleys will be incharge of marketing the property details about the local landmark are yet to be finalised.
A spokesman for Midlands Co-op said: “The former department store which the Society owns in Ilkeston is available to buy or to let and will be valued dependent on future use.
“The property is approximately 150,000 square feet and could be used for a variety of purposes.”
The store closed its doors for the last time in July this year.
In September the Advertiser launched a campaign to ensure the building does not get left to go to ruin.
