Kids across Ilkeston schools got dressed up in all manner of wacky attire on Friday for Children in Need.

At Chaucer Junior School in Ilkeston, pupils had a back-to-front dress theme and covered a picture of the charity’s mascot Pudsey the Bear in pennies.

Cotmanhay Juniors held a day of activites, organised by acting deputy headteacher Linda Atkins. A non-unifrom day and cake sale raised £253.

Mapperley Primary School, raised £68.80 by allowing children and staff came to school in their pyjamas for £1. They even brought their teddies!

Parent governor Richard Raithby came into school to paint faces for 50p per child.
