Drive-thru opens with 40 new jobs

THE DOORS have opened to a new drive-thru fast food restaurant in the town providing a much-needed 40 new jobs for residents.

The new recruits started serving customers at KFC in Rutland Street on Monday.

Mayor of Erewash Cllr Kevin Miller will officially open the international fried chicken chain, famous for its Colonel logo, on Friday.

A spokesman for KFC said: “We’re delighted that the Mayor himself will be officially opening the store this Friday and we look forward to welcoming local residents to the restaurant to try our delicious chicken.”
