Drivers fined for mobiles and belts

Nearly 50 motorists have been given a stark reminder to buckle up their seatbelts and switch off their mobile phones during a road safety operation in Sawmills. Fixed penalty notices and warnings were given to 37 people not wearing their seatbelt and 11 drivers for using their mobile phones while driving during checks on the A610 on Wednesday, May 7.
