A 53-year-old man was arrested by police yesterday following a drugs search on a house in Cotmanhay Road in Ilkeston.
The man who owned the property was originally approached by police on Cotmanhay Road at 10.30am to notify him of the search.
He then proceeded to run off. The man who cannot be named was eventually caught by police after throwing a plastic egg into the street.
Inside the egg were wraps of what officers believed to be a class A drug.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
He was questioned and later bailed by police.
