Drug dealer stashed crack in Kinder egg toy container

AN ILKESTON man has been jailed for drugs offences after a police dog sniffed out his drugs stash which was hidden inside a Kinder Surprise egg.

Jason Warren, 39, was driving a Vauxhall Corsa along Cotmanhay Road, Ilkeston, on January 14, 2010 when he was stopped by police.

Officers searched the vehicle and found six wraps of crack cocaine and a small amount of cannabis.

Warren was arrested.

A further search was then carried out at his home address of May Street, Ilkeston, the next day.

A police drugs dog sniffed out further crack cocaine stored in a yellow Kinder egg case and a camera film container, which had been hidden in a tool box at the property.

In total, 42 wraps of crack were recovered from the address along with four deals of cannabis.

Warren admitted possessing cannabis and possessing crack with intent to supply and at a hearing at Derby Crown Court on September 10.

He was sentenced to a total of two years in prison.
