A husband and wife team have seen their Ilkeston- based home improvement business go from strength to strength — despite the recession.

Jane and John Bosworth, from Kirk Hallam, began Aquarius Home Improvements Ltd seven years ago from home before moving to premises on Manners Industrial Estate in August 2008 at the height of the recession.

They have even managed to double the size of their business.

Jane said: “We are busier than ever. We have six full-time employees, three company vehicles and complete between eight and 12 bathroom and kitchen installations per month. We have also recently taken on a new apprentice.”

The company also has a separate handyman provision, which covers a wide range of services, including plumbing, decorating, plastering, tiling, repairs, door hanging and a huge array of other tasks carried out by experienced tradesmen.

Jane added: “With our free, no obligation design service, we can create you your perfect bathroom, kitchen or bedroom, and our highly skilled tradesmen will ensure that your designs become a reality. And this level of expertise comes at an affordable price without a compromise to the quality of our work.

“Our home improvements experts will be able to design you exactly the home improvements that you want and you are able to see your creation, and our competitive prices, before you’ve agreed to anything.”

Aquarius Home Improvements Ltd is based at Unit 2, Enterprise Court, Manners Industrial Estate.
