Patients who spent Easter in the Ilkeston Community Hospital were given a chocolate surprise opn Sunday after the hospital’s League of Friends teamed up with the Rotary Club of Ilkeston.

Volunteers delivered a chick with a chocolate egg together with a plant to patients on the Hopewell and Heanor Memorial Wards.

They were presented to them by the new chairman of the League of Friends, former councillor and Mayor of Erewash Eileen Knight, and also senior vice president of Rotary, Carolyn Stone, both pictured above with staff and other League of Friends Members.
