Eastwood arts festival begins

Eastwood arts festival kicks off this week with an action-packed line up.

Today, there is a sketching workshop at Durban House Heritage Centre on Mansfield Road and tomorrow there's a 60s garden party at St Mary's church, the Awsworth party on the rec' event, and coffee at the Library Acoustic Lounge bar on Scargill Walk.

Between July 6 and August 1, there is the Brinsley and District Art Group exhibition at Eastwood Library. July 6 and 7 will see the Eastwood School and Friends art exhibition at Eastwood Comprehensive School on Mansfield Road.

On Wednesday there is an evening of live music at the town's Victory Club, in Walker Street, and on Thursday people can join the stone-carving workshop at Durban House or watch Cosmic Sausages at the theatre.
