OOMPA loompas and a golden ticket showed up to lessons at Ladywood Primary School to raise cash for a children’s charity.
Children donned costumes inspired by Roald Dahl characters for the Dahlicious Dress-Up Day which raises funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvelous Children’s Charity.
Pupils read books by the author and classes were themed on his stories.
Headteacher Melanie Lawson said: “It never ceases to amaze me at some of the ideas parents and pupils come up with and create.
“We had lots of brilliant costumes and the children really enjoyed the day.
“We raised money for a great charity and it helped the children get engaged in reading.”
