First choice for most

NEARLY 99 per cent of Derbyshire children have been offered their first choice of secondary school – up more than two per cent on last year.

Thousands of letters will be sent by Derbyshire County Council next Thursday to tell parents where their child has been offered a place.

Parents whose children have not got a place at their preferred school have the right of appeal to an independent panel. Go to www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions to find out more.

Parents will be notified about infant, primary and junior school places on April 30.
