A MEMORY garden has been unveiled at a Long Eaton school for children with severe learning difficulties.
The venture at Stanton Vale School was funded by DHL Aviation, whose staff at East Midlands Airport helped with the planting, painting and construction.
Streams of butterflies and flowers will help to develop pupils’ sensory skills.
And pupils can use the space to play, learn and remember friends who have left.
Deputy headteacher Alan Wylie said: “We are eternally grateful to DHL for sponsoring this worthwhile project and for investing so much time to make sure everything was perfect for our pupils.”
