The enquiry office at Ilkeston police station will close on Friday, it has been announced.
In January, Derbyshire Constabulary announced plans to reduce front counter services from 16 locations to four, due to changing finances and customer demand. The closures are part of the force’s plans to save up to £26 million during the next five years.
The front counter at Ilkeston police station will close on Friday but the stations themselves are not affected and officers will continue to be based there.
After the closure, residents can contact the force by using the non-emergency number 101, or through the website at www.derbyshire.police.uk.
