A fun day held to raise cash for Kirk Hallam school boy Callum Padgett, who has neuroblastoma, raised almost £4,000.
The event, held at the Stute, was organsied to raise money in case Callum, six, needs to go overseas for treatment.
Callum’s aunty, Sam organised the day. She said: “The place was packed, Callum was so overwhelmed, he couldn’t believe everyone was there for him.”
A bouncy castle, face painting, steam engines and a range of stalls drew in the crowds.
Sam and Callum’s dad, Anthony said: “We would like to say thank you to everyone who came and supported us on Saturday. It was a great show of support from the community.
“Money is still being collected but so far nearly £4000.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to Alan, Clive, Dave, Mr Lamb, and everyone from Coppice Steam Rally.
“And to all the ladies and gents who helped out, we couldn’t of done it without you.
“Our family will be forever grateful for all your support.
“And of course to Callum Padgett himself, you are a star.”
