NottinghamshirE Fire Authority has set up a working group to consider closing down stations, including Stapleford, to save money.
The authority is looking at closing certain fire stations in the county, and having crews from Derbyshire stations, including Ilkeston and Long Eaton to cover the patches.
As we reported last year, Stapleford station has been highlighted as a possible closure along with Eastwood station and two others in 2012.
A further four have been proposed for closure this year in the county.
The working group, set up in a budget meeting last Friday February 25, will investigate the proposals and report back to the authority.
