Felix to continue coaches

THE BUS firm which had its routes bought out by Trent Barton this month has announced it is entering into a partnership with another firm so it can continue its coach trips.

Felix, based in Stanley for the last 85 years, will now work with Swiftsure Travel, which will take responsibility for the booking and administration of all its tours and holidays, and coach hire arrangements after the end of January 2012.

Swiftsure managing director Richard Hackett said: “It is our mutual ambition to build on the long and successful history of the Felix brand and to continue to operate coach holidays and excursions in the Derby and Ilkeston areas.”

The agreement means the firms can offer a wider choice of coaches for hire to clients.

A new holiday brochure is being prepared and will be distributed to customers, and the next day trip list will be sent out as usual early 2012.
