Fines are to rip-off drivers

Sir,

How many times has this happened?

In December exactly the same thing happened to my daughter when she was delivering goods to a charity shop.

She was on a ten minute run doing a bit of good and it cost her a fine of £25.

She would have been better off just dumping the stuff!

It is obvious from the time on the ticket to the time on the photograph of the offence that the claim is legitimate, but whoever deals with the appeal did not see it that way.

It would appear the idea is to take as much money from the motorist as they can get away with.

My suggestion would be to say everyone stop parking in council car parks for a month as a protest.

That is my opinion until justice can be seen to be working.
