A HEALTH and safety campaign set up by chiefs at an Ilkeston company saw the firm donate more than £400 to charity.
Employees at Stanton Bonna in Stanton-by-Dale were asked by bosses to fill in cards when an accident or incident was avoided to improve health and safety.
In return for the 423 forms that were completed, the company donated £423 to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
The firm also picked up a prestigious gold award for health and safety initiatives and a best practice award in recognition of work to improve the occupational health of employees.
Operations director Rob Fifer said: “I’m very pleased and proud that we have won these awards, along with the success of our own scheme they are testament to the improvements that we have made.”
