A PLAN to build five bungalows in Ilkeston is set to be decided on by councillors next week.
Seven neighbours to the now vacant former allotments off cul-de-sac Kensington Gardens have written to Erewash Borough Council, fearing increased traffic problems.
One wrote: “Opening up the existing cul-de-sac to more houses will result in a fatal accident due to poor visibility as a result of my steep drive creating a blind spot for the extra traffic.”
The surrounding area, also previously allotments has been developed into a large housing estate, which was granted permission in 2004.
Planning officers have recommended that the plan is approved. Councillors will vote on it on Wednesday May 2.
