A food company that has a distribution centre in Ilkeston has won a gold medal for its excellent customers service to caterers.

Creed Foodservice, based in Manners Avenue, scooped the medal at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors’ Annual Award Ceremony in London, beating off stiff opposition to win the top award in the Wholesaler Service to Foodservice category.

The award recognises the ongoing improvement of wholesalers’ propositions and customer service to caterers.

Managing Director, Philip de Ternant said: “We are extremely proud to be recognised with a FWD Gold Medal Award at such a prestigious national event.

“The award is a testament to the way that our staff are delivering quality service to our customers on a day-to-day basis. We believe in developing long term relationships with our customers.”

Judges’ comments highlighted the fact that Creed’s commitment to caterers has been reflected in the company’s continual improvements in service over the last year. They were particularly impressed by the work of Creed business development managers who regularly use fresh produce as a key hook.
