A CHARITY shop with a difference has opened up in Ilkeston offering cash for unwanted clothes.
Cash4Clobber opened up in Granby Street in a shop left vacant earlier this year by Parafinalia, which moved to Pelham Street.
All profits from the store go to Chesterfield-based Cancer Relief UK.
Volunteer Phil Staton explained that the shop is only the charity’s second.
He said that the shops are aimed at replacing door-to-door charity collections.
“One of the problems with door-to-door is the bad press they have been getting with people going around stealing bags,” he said.
“After expenses every penny goes to charity.”
Clothes are currently bought at 50p per kilo.
