WOMEN working out at an Ilkeston gym dug deep and raised £811 for a cancer charity.
Throughout October members of Curves gym, based at Booths Industrial Estate, in Awsworth Road, were asked to support Breast Cancer Care.
A special pamper day and a bra recycling scheme were among the fundraising schemes.
Money was also donated by new members who joined Curves during the gym’s open days, which were held to celebrate the club moving to its new base.
Gym owner Sally Peacock said: “I’m delighted with the total. Once again the members have really supported this cause. It’s fantastic to have raised so much for such a worthy charity. Thank you to everyone who supported us.”
