Ilkeston Community Hospital’s minor injury unit has been rated “outstanding” for patient care.
The unit at Ilkeston Community Hospital has received the highest rating from NHS regulators the Care Quality Commission (CQC), as part of a routine full inspection of services provided by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.
The CQC praised the minor injury unit staff for their kindness, understanding and care. Staff made patients feel valued and respected, the inspection report found.
The minor injury unit was also praised for seeing patients quickly and well within waiting time targets. Patients told inspectors they felt staff went “above and beyond” what was expected to provide the best possible care.
