FRIENDS and family of an Ilkeston mum who lost her fight against cancer have launched a massive fundraising drive to try and make her dying wish come true.

Bev Shaw, 47, died in October, just weeks after finding out that she had cancer.

Her dying wish was that her niece’s home was converted so her two teenage daughters had somewhere to live when she’d gone.

The former dinner lady and teaching assistant at Cotmanhay School fought breast cancer in 2006 and was given the all clear after treatment.
