PUPILS from Ilkeston School are into the final of a national competition that sees teams of eight young people, four with disabilities, four without, work together in problem solving situations.
Students from the King George Avenue School won the regional heats of the Fieldfare Kielder Challenge, which were held earlier this month at Elvaston Castle.
Kate Le Prevost, arts co-ordinator at the school, said: “The Fieldfare Kielder Challenge is an event we always look forward to taking part in and is always a really valuable experience for pupils testing their minds and bodies.
“The students involved in the regional heats at Elvaston Castle all did really well against some stiff competition.
“They all enjoyed the challenge and are now looking forward to the final.”
