A large hole in an Ilkeston street is blighting the lives of local residents.
The hole was dug on the corner of Wilton Place and Wilton Street by Derbyshire County Council nine weeks ago and is now full of water.
Resident Nic Jones, said: “The hole is the dimensions of a grave. It has been there for more than eight weeks. I have contacted the council who said they would investigate it but nothing has changed.”
The work is to do with a water leak.
A spokesman for the council said a water leak had been reported so they dug a hole to find the leak. Upon investigation they could not find a leaking pipe so will continue to investigate where the leak is coming from.
