KIDS got to try their hand at circus skills this week at a fun day organised by housing provider Ashfield Homes.

The event in Selston on Saturday was one of four organised by the firm, which attracted a total of more than 1,000 visitors.

Alongside a circus skills workshop, there were activities including Zumba, pet displays, bouncy castles and a climbing wall.

The events were organised after meetings with tenants which identified anti-social behaviour as a key priority, so information was given out by the firm as well as partners such as Nottinghamshire Police.

Tenancy services manager, Kevin Hornsby, said: This has been a great opportunity to bring communities together, in a positive way, around a common theme of fun and engagement.

“I am really pleased that people were able to come along and enjoy these events”.
