AN ORGANISATION has raised more than £10,000 for Treetops after holding fireworks night events at the hospice for years.
The latest cheque presented by the Long Eaton Round Table for £1,500 brings the total raised by the group to more than £10,000.
Treetops chief executive, George Cameron, said: “The support we receive from groups like the Long Eaton Round Table is absolutely invaluable, especially as more and more people need our services.
“In January alone, we had 150 new referrals and we’re currently looking at ways to ensure more people can benefit from the valuable respite care we provide.”
The hospice, in Risley, provides respite care for adults with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis.
The centre also provide help and support to guests’ carers and their families as well as bereavement counselling.
