Ideas on new Stanton village from UKIP candidate

UKIP’s parliamentary candidate for Erewash says a development for over-55s should be built as part of the Stanton development.

Philip Rose suggests this should include health and support services, copious amounts of leisure around the golf course and canals, with housing of different types and value.

He said: “Over-55s often enjoy higher than average disposable income, much of which would be spent in Erewash. Quality services would provide jobs within the borough in health and leisure, traffic congestion would be mitigated at commute times and opportunities to integrate the Green Squeeze plan centred around the Nutbrook Canal stub could be utilized.

“Creating a desirable community for over-55s will see more family homes becoming available for growing families.”
