Campaign to cut down on drinking near kids

Derbyshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) have launched a hard hitting new campaign encouraging parents in to consider how much they drink and the effect their drinking habits might have on their children.

The hard hitting videos, called ‘Like Drinking?’, centre on the potential consequences irresponsible attitudes to alcohol can have, particularly where children are involved.

Alison Pritchard, consultant in public health at NHS Derbyshire County, said: “With one in 11 children in the UK living with a parent who misuses alcohol, it’s more important than ever for parents to be aware of the impact their attitude to alcohol can have as their children grow up.”
