Cars vandalised

Police are appealing for information in relation to the criminal damage of cars in West Hallam and Ilkeston Town Centre.

In total 15 vehicles have been damaged, seven on High Lane East in West Hallam and eight in Ilkeston Town Centre, between Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3.

It is believed that a group of youths are responsible for the damage in both areas, kicking off the wing mirrors of vehicles and causing anti-social behaviour.

Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Teams are appealing for members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour.

Anyone with information about the damage, or individuals is asked to contact officers from the Ilkeston Rural and Ilkeston Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
