Curator makes a world impact
QUAD'S senior curator is making an impact on the contemporary art world. Louise Clements has been selected as one of five finalists for the UK Young Visual Arts Entrepreneur award.
She is also on the panel for the Hayward Select Competition and has been invited to be Jury Member for The New York Photo Awards May 2010.
Louise, based at the arts centre in the city centre, said: "The award has been an opportunity to meet and learn from other professionals and was a chance to look for artists relevant to the programmes we run in
the FORMAT Festival and in Quad."
Louise has also been working on the selection panel for the Hayward Touring: Curatorial Open, a national call for curators proposals.
Each year one successful curator will be given the opportunity to initiate and develop a national touring exhibition.
