Driver cut from car after crash with ambulance

A DRIVER had to be cut free from a car after a collision on Heanor Road.

Firefighters, police and an ambulance were on scene after receiving a 999 call at around 1pm.

Two people were injured in the crash which involved an ambulance responding to a 999 call, at the junction with Shipley Common Lane.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The road re-opened just before 4pm.
